The Redemptoristine Nuns were founded in Italy in 1731 by Sister Maria Celeste Crostarosa and Saint Alphonsus de Liguori, as an order of contemplative nuns, to follow the Redeeming Christ through a life of prayer and sacrifice. Since that time, foundations have been made throughout the world. In 1960, our monastery was founded in Liguori, Missouri.
