Helpful Information About PDFs
Some Internet browsers have default settings to launch the Acrobat® Reader program whenever a .pdf document is clicked upon. Viewing .pdf documents through the browser environment sometimes has its limitations. The best way to have full functionality of the Reader's features is to open the document through the Acrobat® Reader program once it has been saved to the hard drive. Download Instructions PC users: Right-click on the .pdf document to be downloaded and a drop-down menu will appear. Choose to save the .pdf document to the computer's hard drive (usually "save to disk" or other similar wording). Macintosh users: Click and hold the mouse button on the .pdf document to be downloaded until a drop-down menu appears. Choose "Download to disk" (or other similar wording) and the .pdf document will automatically download to a specified area on your hard drive. Once the .PDF document is downloaded Open the Acrobat® Reader program. Choose File>Open and navigate to the .pdf file just saved to the hard drive. Note: In order to view a .pdf document (Portable Document Format) you will need the free Adobe Acrobat® Reader program.
